KYC & AML Policy
We confirm the identity of every player to make sure each account is real, each player is of age, and nobody uses our casino to launder criminal money. This page covers the checks we do, the documents we could request, and how we use the results.
A. Why we verify
Checks protect you, other players and the casino.
KYC stands for Know Your Customer. AML stands for anti-money laundering. Together they help us:
- confirm that each player is 19 or older;
- make sure one person is not running several accounts;
- stop fraud, stolen cards and identity theft;
- keep criminal money out of our casino;
- pay winnings to the right person, quickly.
Players may join only if gambling is legal where they live. We meet Canadian rules on age, identity checks and anti-money laundering. Your identity is checked ahead of the first deposit, and we may check again later when needed.
B. Ongoing monitoring
Verification does not stop once you sign up.
We monitor activity on accounts for patterns that are out of line with normal play. For example:
- large deposits withdrawn again after very little play;
- frequent changes of payment method;
- deposits that are inconsistent with the information we hold on the account;
- several accounts linked to one device or payment method.
If something looks unusual, we may request extra details or documents before your next deposit or withdrawal. Most of the time a quick reply clears things up.
C. Identity and age checks
Most players are verified quickly, and a few need to upload documents.
At registration, we request your full name, home address, email address and date of birth. We also verify your location to confirm you are in a region that is open to our players. In many cases these details can be checked electronically with no uploads required.
If we cannot confirm you electronically, we will request documents such as:
- Identity: a current government photo document showing your name, date of birth and photo.
- Address: a recent official letter, bank statement or utility bill that displays your name and home address.
- Payment: a document showing the payment method tied to the account is your own, like your bank statement or a screenshot from inside your e-wallet app.
Please send clear, full-colour images showing all four corners of the document. If you upload a picture of a card, cover the middle digits of the card number. We will never ask for a full card number or a password.
D. Sanctions and political exposure
All accounts are checked against sanctions lists and for political exposure.
New and existing players are compared against Canadian and international sanctions lists. Accounts for sanctioned people are neither opened nor maintained.
We also check whether any player counts as a politically exposed person, or PEP. This means anyone who holds a senior public role now or held one recently, along with people closely connected to them. PEPs may still play, but extra checks apply and we may ask more about where your money comes from.
E. When checks cannot be completed
We cannot let play or payouts continue until we know who you are.
If documents are missing, unclear or do not match your account, we will email you and explain what is needed. Until the checks are done, we may limit deposits, play or withdrawals.
We may close an account if checks are not completed or if we find forged documents, a second account or an underage player. If legally possible, we refund deposits using the same method you paid with. We may keep winnings connected to fraud or to a breach of our Terms of Service.
F. Record keeping and reporting
Verification records are kept safe, and suspicious activity is reported in line with legal requirements.
Documents and transaction records are stored securely for the period Canadian law requires. Only trained staff whose duties require it can access them. Our Personal Data Policy explains how your information is protected and used.
Suspicious transactions are reported to the proper authorities whenever Canadian law calls for it. We are legally barred from informing any player about a report of this kind, so some decisions on your account may come without a full explanation.
G. Source of funds
When your activity is bigger or less usual than normal, we may ask about where your funds come from.
This is a standard check, and it does not mean you have done anything wrong. Helpful documents include:
- recent payslips or an employment letter;
- bank statements showing regular income;
- proof of an inheritance, savings, or money from selling a business or property.
We only request what we need, and we keep it private. Source of funds checks also help us spot players who may be spending more than they can afford. Our Safer Play page lists the free tools that can help.
